The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure operational reliability. Key duties include analyzing equipment performance, diagnosing issues using electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, and performing repairs or programming updates. Proficiency in ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500/5000), maintaining program backups, and using digital multimeters is essential. Additional responsibilities involve evaluating new equipment, setting up servo controls and variable frequency drives, and assisting with electrical troubleshooting across the plant. Qualifications include at least 2 years of relevant experience, an associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred), and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. Strong knowledge of enterprise asset management software and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Work involves documenting maintenance activities, collaborating with technical staff, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
