Weekend Caregiver
The Visiting Angels office in Tyler is seeking compassionate individuals to provide care to senior adults and those in need in the East Texas area, including Canton, Ben Wheeler, Murchison, Tyler, Jacksonville, Palestine, and more.
Responsibilities
- Help clients take prescribed medication
- Ambulate and assist clients with mobility
- Assist with personal care and hygiene
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Do client shopping or accompany them
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report unusual incidents
- Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies
Requirements
- 2 years previous caregiving experience
- Valid driver's license (ID card not sufficient)
- Vehicle with current insurance
- Passion to serve others
- Emergency response and first aid knowledge
- Housekeeping and cooking skills
- Attention to dietary constraints
- Respectful and compassionate attitude
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
