Weekend Caregiver

Visiting Angels of Tyler is hiring a Weekend Caregiver to provide in‑home support for senior adults across East Texas, including Tyler, Whitehouse, Winnsboro, Quitman, Mineola, Lindale, Athens, Chandler, Bullard, Jacksonville, Palestine, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Manage light housekeeping tasks.
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the correct times.
• Help with shopping, grocery unpacking, or shop on behalf of clients.
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on their abilities.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation, including moving around the house, attending doctor appointments, and taking walks.
• Respond quickly to medical emergencies, reporting health changes or unusual circumstances as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time‑management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship.
• Willingness to comply with state and office‑specific health and safety standards.

Schedule

Part‑time weekend shifts are available, including 8‑hour, 10‑hour, 12‑hour, PRN, short shift, and day shift options.
