Webber - Concrete Paving Finishing Machine Operator - Heavy Civil
General Purpose of Job
Operates self propelled finishing machine(s) which may or may not travel on paving forms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Spreads and levels fresh concrete to grade by use of augers and screeds.
- May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
- Makes necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Less than a High School Diploma and related construction experience.
Working Conditions
- Outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.).
Physical Activity Level
Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
Manual Dexterity
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
