About the role
The Texas A&M University Libraries seek an Associate Level Web Services Librarian to lead the administration of the SpringShare platform. Key responsibilities include overseeing the full suite of Springshare applications, ensuring strong accessibility, quality assurance, and user support, and collaborating with various departments to enhance the Libraries' web portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration of Springshare applications, including LibGuides, LibCal, and LibAnswers.
- Ensure quality assurance for websites and applications, using content management systems like Cascade, WordPress, or SharePoint.
- Develop and implement training programs and provide hands-on support for web-related projects.
- Collaborate with Technology Services, the Discovery Systems Librarian, and the User Experience Librarian to improve the Libraries' web presence.
- Work on-site at the College Station campus.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Experience administering Springshare applications.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Problem-solving skills and familiarity with accessibility standards.
- Ability to lift medium-weight materials and handle items containing dust or microscopic mold spores.
