Web Press Operator I - 2nd shift

About the role

Responsible for the daily operation of web presses as directed by the press operator. Maintain cleanliness and operation of press. Coordinate with internal agencies for required materials such as ink, plate, paper, and tape. Ensure accuracy of printed material coming from the press.

Responsibilities

• Press Start-up Procedures: Daily/Weekly Maintenance and Safety checks.
• Machine operation to include: print unit setup, numbering unit setup, process unit setup, delivery unit setup and other operations necessary to complete print operator duties.
• Quality inspections: before print, while printing and after.
• Clean up and shut down procedures/End of shift activities.
• Communication with warehouse, production planning, marketing, and production/process supervisor.
• Lifting requirements: 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. on occasion.

Requirements

• Must display excellent work habits and willingness to be a team player.
• Minimum 3 years offset/web printing experience preferred.
• Must be able to identify colors and imperfections.
• Proven track record in waste reduction and profit improvement.
• High mechanical reasoning expectations.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess if a roll of paper is in good condition.
• Ensure stock being produced meets quality specifications.
• Verify basic operations of the equipment are in good working order.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm (2nd Shift)

Pay

Hourly pay rate: $25.00+ plus $1.75 shift differential. Additional $0.50/hr wage increase eligible after 90 days.
