About the role
As the Web Merchandiser at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, you will own the end-to-end execution and optimization of our digital shopping experience. Your core mission is to create a seamless, high-converting digital ecosystem by driving findability, frictionless engagement, and customer loyalty across our digital channels. In this role, you will bridge the gap between user behavior and business growth—combining data-driven insights with strategic execution.
Responsibilities
- Ecosystem Optimization: Manage site taxonomy, click-flow navigation, attribution, and on-site traffic to maximize findability and conversion.
- Testing & Personalization: Plan and execute A/B testing and cross-sell/upsell strategies to elevate customer lifetime value and brand loyalty.
- Data & Performance Tracking: Monitor, analyze, and report on quantitative and qualitative web behavior to uncover actionable insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to bring high-impact digital campaigns to life on schedule.
- Product Information Management: Ongoing optimization, monitoring, and refinement of our product data for our owned web properties, working with our PIM/DAM system.
- Site Merchandising Tactics: Continuous execution to support various campaign objectives, overall health and accuracy of site content, and collision testing for broken site experiences across our consumer properties.
- Site usability enhancements to increase conversion and improve the overall customer journey experience.
- Strategic Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine how to continuously optimize digital engagement experiences through utilization of UX and CX design principles.
- Own our experimentation and personalization roadmap by designing data-driven A/B testing strategies, executing campaigns, and training cross-functional partners on best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Data-Driven Mindset: 3+ years translating web analytics into clear, strategic growth initiatives.
- Technical & Platform Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, CMS, PIM, and DAM platforms. Ability to extract insights from large datasets and generate accurate reports for making effective business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Frontend Familiarity: Solid understanding of UX/CX best practices alongside working knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Fostering Experimentation: Remaining curious and driving innovation.
- Teamwork/Collaboration: Ability to work with other functions to align on tests and collaborate with team members.
- Analysis/Decision Making: Gaining insights from data to inform decisions.
Pay
Salary Range: $96,000.00 - $137,000.00 USD. Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
