Web Developer II

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-friendly web applications that support mission-critical intelligence capabilities. They will work across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications
• Developing user-accessible web interfaces using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Developing applications that interface with REST-based APIs or web services
• Working through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
• Ensuring developed software meets 508 accessibility compliance standards

Requirements

• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications
• Experience developing user-accessible web interfaces using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience working with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Experience developing applications that interface with REST-based APIs or web services
• Experience working through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving software defects and performance issues
• Experience integrating new web components with existing applications and services
• Experience developing or maintaining technical documentation related to software systems
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Experience using Jira and Confluence or similar collaboration and issue-tracking tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
• Eight (8) years experience as a Web Developer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity
• Twelve (12) years of development experience may be substituted for candidates without a qualifying bachelor’s degree
