Summary
Front-end engineer focused on building responsive, performant, and polished web game experiences using modern frameworks and tooling. This position is fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Design to deliver high-quality features.
- Translate Figma designs and interaction specs into tested, accessible, production-ready UI components and pages.
- Enhance and extend existing design systems and framework code.
- Refine visual polish, fix defects, and bring implementations up to spec (pixel precision).
- Participate in code reviews and follow established quality, security, and accessibility standards.
- Plan, track, and communicate progress using project/task management tools.
- Instrument features for telemetry, performance, and error tracking (where applicable).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of professional front-end engineering experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-directed with effective time management.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, profile, and optimize front-end performance.
Core Knowledge
- Web development life cycle (planning, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance).
- Tooling: Node.js, npm, Visual Studio / VS Code, Azure DevOps, Git.
- Languages & formats: HTML5, CSS3 / SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript (TS/TSX), JSON.
- Frameworks & build tools: React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, Solid.js, Webpack, Vite (code-splitting, bundling, asset optimization).
- Design collaboration: Figma (components, constraints, tokens).
- Data integration: RESTful APIs, JSON payloads (error handling, pagination, caching strategies).
