Web Content Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Web Content Specialist to support digital content updates and site maintenance for an organization based in Houston, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage website content accurately, improve page presentation, and contribute to a user-friendly online experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update website pages, ensuring content is accurate, current, and aligned with brand standards.
• Publish, edit, and organize digital content within WordPress and other content management tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to format web content in a way that supports usability and clear communication.
• Apply UX and UX/UI principles to improve layout, readability, and the overall visitor experience.
• Create and adjust visual assets using Canva to support web pages and online content initiatives.
• Monitor site content for consistency, functionality, and proper presentation across web properties.
• Assist with content organization efforts, including page structure, navigation updates, and content placement decisions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working in web content management or a closely related digital content role.
• Practical experience using WordPress CMS to publish, edit, and maintain website content.
• Strong understanding of content management systems and standard web publishing workflows.
• Familiarity with UX and UX/UI design concepts that support accessible and intuitive digital experiences.
• Experience using Canva to create or update web-ready visual content.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple content updates accurately.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional teams.
