About The Role
We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our defense product vertical, a critical division responsible for developing mission-critical software for the modern warfighter. In this role, you will focus on creating sophisticated, high-performance applications that support national security and defense operations. Your primary responsibilities will include designing intuitive user interfaces, developing scalable frontend components, and collaborating closely with backend engineers to build seamless APIs and schemas. The role involves engaging with users to understand their workflows and pain points, translating these insights into innovative solutions, and iterating rapidly within a fast-paced environment. You will work on complex geospatial workflows, real-time collaborative tools, and data visualization platforms that are integral to military operations worldwide. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that enhance safety and security on a global scale, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and pushing the boundaries of frontend development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with React and component-based UI development
- Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and modern build tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment and familiarity with industry-standard tooling such as Webpack, GitHub, and CircleCI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security Clearance
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving project requirements
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality frontend applications for defense systems
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into functional features
- Build scalable, efficient, and user-friendly interfaces for complex geospatial and data-driven workflows
- Develop and optimize APIs and schemas that support frontend functionalities
- Implement real-time collaboration tools and advanced data visualization solutions
- Engage with users to gather feedback, identify gaps, and improve workflows
- Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and incorporate best practices into development processes
- Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and performance optimization
