Responsibilities
- Provide data support to manufacturing and engineering
- Help drive data-driven decision making in fulfillment of gas transfer mission objectives
- Develop technical knowledge of gas transfer system engineering practices
- Develop new methods, techniques, capabilities to address reporting and analyses of key criteria
- Cook with personnel to serve production issues
- Coordinate with personnel to serve production issues
- Support multiple technical projects
- Research, develop, review, and comprehend historical technical procedures as needed
- Adhere to the requirements for working in facilities with radioactive hazards, including a Hazard Category 2 nuclear facility
Requirements
- 10-15 years of experience
- Experience working with DOE and weapons
- Ability to recognize technical problems and apply data analysis to generate root causes and recommend suitable solutions
- Able to effectively document and communicate results in a technical manner
- Keen attention to detail
- Familiarity with manufacturing and measurement techniques and process control limits
- Background and pre-employment drug screening for drug-free workplace
- Work onsite at LANL during regular business hours 4-5 days per week
- US Citizen
- Obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
- Active or recently inactive Q clearance preferred
- Have an active Real ID diver's license for badging and onboarding
Preferred Skills
- Experience working for LANL in weapons area
- Recently retired LANL employee with weapons experience as a scientist or engineer
- Active or recently inactive Q clearance preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 10-15 years of experience
- PhD or advanced certifications are a plus
