Wealth Management Relationship Manager III
Deliver high-quality wealth management services to existing clients and prospects. This individual contributor role focuses on the most complex relationships, providing efficient client service, problem resolution, and generating referrals to support firm growth. The position emphasizes business development, coordination with internal teams (planning, trust, tax, and investments), and ensuring overall client satisfaction. Responsibilities include financial planning, account administration, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients to respond to requests for account information or initiate transactions.
- Administer assigned accounts in accordance with bank and department policies, ensuring fiduciary standards are observed.
- Develop financial plans by collecting client information, using financial planning software, and preparing analyses.
- Provide financial planning advice and guidance to clients.
- Maintain a strong understanding of other departments (portfolio management, tax advisory, trust administration) to facilitate collaboration.
- Develop working relationships with internal partners, clients, prospects, and external contacts (attorneys, CPAs, trustees).
- Attend client and internal meetings, prepare meeting materials, and handle follow-up action items, including CRM recordkeeping.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure accurate and prompt opening or closing of accounts, including asset collection and documentation.
- Manage the onboarding process for new clients, including coordination of services, paperwork, and other needs.
- Initiate proper disbursement of funds and monitor records for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure transactions comply with audit and compliance standards and are executed timely.
- Resolve internal and external inquiries related to accounts and follow through until issues are addressed.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and prospects via telephone, email, Zoom, or in person to build and enhance relationships.
- Record relevant details of client interactions in CRM software.
- Assist the Department Manager with special projects, serve on committees, and contribute to department and firm functioning.
- Perform other duties as required by the position.
- Develop new business from existing relationships, centers of influence, and other sources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10 or more years of experience in financial planning, client services, or a related field.
- Excellent client-facing service experience and problem-resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills, with the ability to partner effectively with sales, service, tax, and investment groups.
- Working knowledge of investments, tax, fiduciary, and operations, typically acquired through formal education or related experience.
- Understanding of the securities industry to address investment issues.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
- Strong negotiation, delegation, leadership, and sales skills to service and enhance client relationships.
- Working knowledge of financial planning, including the use of planning software (e.g., eMoney).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to oversee client transactions and resolve account issues.
- Personal computer skills for account maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation required.
- Series 65 license required or equivalent for state Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) registration (must obtain within the first 90 days of hire).
- CFP® designation may be accepted in lieu of Series 65 in certain states.
Working Conditions
- Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Prolonged sitting, with occasional bending or overhead lifting (e.g., storing files or boxes).
- Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs. (e.g., printer paper, storage boxes).
- Hazards are typical of a normal office setting.

Pay
$107,800 - $177,100 annually. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business needs. This role is incentive-eligible based on company, business, and individual goal achievement and performance.
