At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work onsite in the specified location.

About the role

The Wealth Management Academy (WMA) Internship is a 9-week paid summer internship designed for students who are interested in pursuing a long-term career in financial planning and wealth management. This program is ideal for students who aspire to become Wealth Advisors, build lasting client relationships, develop comprehensive financial plans, and ultimately pursue their CFP® certification as part of their professional journey. Unlike traditional sales-focused financial services roles, the Wealth Management Academy is centered on helping clients achieve their financial goals through holistic planning, advice, and long-term relationship management.

Schwab's Wealth & Advice Solutions organization helps clients navigate important financial decisions through personalized guidance, comprehensive planning, and advice tailored to their unique goals. Wealth Advisors partner closely with clients to understand their needs, develop financial strategies, and provide ongoing support throughout their financial journey. As a Wealth Management Academy Intern, you'll gain exposure to how Schwab delivers wealth management services at scale while maintaining a client-first approach. You'll work alongside professionals who help clients build financial confidence through planning, education, and advice.
