About the role
A Wealth Advisor II at Canandaigua National Bank is responsible for providing investment management services to customers, articulating the Bank's Investment Philosophy, and maintaining high levels of communication with clients.
Responsibilities
- Nurtures and maintains client relationships, offering financial planning and investment solutions.
- Communicates regularly with clients about account activity, market conditions, and educational guidance.
- Maintains and updates portfolio reviews, preparing and documenting Investment Policy Statements (IPS).
- Monitors cash and investments, making buy/sell decisions and exploring investment opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with legal and tax requirements affecting investment accounts.
- Prepares and maintains detailed documentation, reports, and forms, including tax and regulatory filings.
- Engages in customer development activities to meet annual goals, including new business development, revenue growth, and asset retention.
- Complies with organizational policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Communicates effectively with management and staff, integrating goals and activities.
- Responds to inquiries and requests within given timeframes and policies.
- Maintains accurate records and provides assigned reports.
- Mentors and trains junior investment officers and others as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Bachelor's degree in banking or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred MBA.
- Required: Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
- Specialized Wealth Management education and training such as Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor, or similar.
- Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in related positions.
- Experience in banking/financial services preferred.

Pay
$110,000 - $135,000 annually, with actual rate dependent on experience and performance.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in the office.
