About the role
As a Wealth Advisor at Schwab Wealth Advisory, you will manage ongoing client relationships, deliver holistic financial planning, and provide tailored investment guidance aligned with Schwab’s approach to investing. Responsibilities
- Build trust by actively listening, asking thoughtful questions, and translating complex financial concepts into actionable guidance for clients.
- Prioritize client meetings, planning work, and follow-through while clearly setting expectations, timelines, and next steps with clients and partners.
- Apply financial planning principles and communicate recommendations that align portfolios with client goals, risk tolerance, and long-term outcomes.
- Coachability: Actively seek, receive, and apply feedback; communicate openly about development needs and adjust approach to continuously improve advisory effectiveness.
- Demonstrate self-awareness, including awareness of strengths and limitations, and communicate questions or concerns early to serve clients well.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active FINRA Series 7 license - May be obtained with a 120-day condition of employment for certified and current CFP® designation or CFA® designation holders, verified before hire.
- Active FINRA Series 66 license (or equivalent) - May be obtained within the first 120 days
