About the role
Responsible for providing investment management services to customers of the Bank; capable of articulating the Investment Philosophy of Canandaigua National Bank to prospective/current clients as well as centers of influence who refer business to Canandaigua National Bank Wealth; providing excellent service to customers; achieving goals as established in the Canandaigua National Bank Wealth annual operating plan; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the investment services function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.
Responsibilities
- Nurtures and maintains client relationships, providing proper financial planning and investment solutions to ensure the client’s financial needs are being met.
- Provides the proper amount of face-time with the client to review the financial situation/plan; brings in other specialists and trusted advisors from within the CNC organization, as necessary.
- Maintains highest level of communication with clients informing them of activity within the account, strategies to capture current market and economic conditions, and providing educational guidance when needed.
- Communicates and documents this communication at a level desired by individual clients (verbal, letters, email, corporate functions).
- Maintains an active awareness of changes in legal and tax requirements which may affect the investment of accounts (including the employment of risk reducing strategies such as diversification and asset allocation).
- Performs research and review of stocks, bonds, and other investment securities; makes reports and recommendations on ways to better meet account objectives.
- Completes annual Regulation 9 compliance review on a timely basis.
- Maintains an active awareness of changes in legal and tax requirements which may affect the investment of accounts (including the employment of risk reducing strategies such as diversification and asset allocation).
- Prepares and maintains documentation, status records and reports on investment and accounts and financial planning activities; prepares various reports, statements, and forms including tax, regulatory, and other governmental forms as required.
- Achieves goals as established as part of the operating plan.
Requirements
- A B.S. or B.S. degree in a field related to banking or equivalent normally required.
- A combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- MBA Preferred.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) required.
- Specialized Wealth Management education and training such as Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor or similar further education preferred.
- A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in related positions.
- Experience in banking/financial services preferred.

Pay
$110,000 - $135,000. The actual rate offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
