Responsibilities
- Drive business development initiatives by cultivating referral networks, generating new client relationships, and enhancing the visibility and reputation of Waverly Advisors within the community.
- Builds a strong understanding of Waverly’s investment philosophy and ongoing general market outlook, portfolio construction and management, goals-based financial planning, alongside estate, tax and philanthropic planning considerations.
- Develop and manage existing client relationships, including ongoing client contact and communications.
- Implement financial plans for clients including coordination of estate, insurance and tax strategies.
- Work with the firm’s investment team to incorporate clients’ investment strategies with their planning objectives.
- Demonstrate a commitment to extraordinary client service through professional excellence, the highest ethical standards, and the effective use of available resources.
- Communicate to Waverly Client Service Associates and Investment Analysts to perform actions related to client accounts, money movements, and trading, including utilization of Waverly’s CRM to input related tasks.
- Maintain compliance with SEC regulations by monitoring clients’ asset allocations, rebalancing portfolios, and trade recommendations through collaboration with the internal trading team.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in financial services with demonstrated ability to develop and manage existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
- A self-motivated, highly driven, and entrepreneurial personality.
- Prominent ability to network with prospective clients and centers of influence.
- Possess active listening and critical thinking skills.
- Display a client-first attitude.
- Act as a team player, with strong coaching and leadership skills.
- Desire to work successfully in an intimate, fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Series 65, CFP, or CFA certification required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
