PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Visual Inspection: Identifies surface defects and flaws in wax components and tools using a variety of hand tools.
- Dimensional Measurement: Assures dimensional integrity by inspecting components with height gauges, micrometers, calipers, ultrasound, and other measuring devices, and performs statistical process control calculations.
- Engineering Support: Works with engineers to establish and test inspection techniques, identify and resolve product quality issues, and prepare reports on dimensional issues.
Qualifications
- One year of competent Wax Molding or Assembly Inspector experience, or an equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience.
- Working knowledge of dimensional tools and basic inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret precision hand tools and common dimensional inspection tools such as go/no gauges, micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and pi tapes.
- Familiarity with surface plate inspection setups and ability to read and understand technical cards, blueprints, and drawings.
- Correctable vision of 23/30 and satisfactory depth perception and color vision tests.
- Physical abilities to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to seventy pounds and work in physically demanding conditions.
