Wave Planner (M-Th 3p-130a)

About the role

The Wave Planner is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the efficient packaging and loading of customer inventory for distribution. This position plans and releases orders to the warehouse floor for packing and shipment. Functions include creating and prioritizing picking documentation into waves to meet shipment goals, distributing production, work, and shipment schedules to various departments, prioritizing work orders and picking documentation based on inventory levels and incoming orders, opening and closing trailer loads/ships in warehouse/inventory systems to ensure accurate delivery and inventory levels are maintained, dispatching prepared shipments to carriers, updating inventory and warehouse management systems, researching and resolving shipment errors, and performing other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• An associate's degree or two years of equivalent experience
• Minimum six months of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Data entry and typing ability
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to manage small project assignments as necessary
