About the role
Watermark BR is looking for a part-time Outlet Hostperson who will report to the Restaurant Manager. The Host Person ensures the prompt recognition and seating of all guests in assigned outlets and assists servers in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout the dining experience. They also assist the cashier in collecting payment for guest transactions.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Fine dining experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
- Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.
- Be attentive to guests' needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.
- Assist the cashier in collecting money or credit cards from guests and servers as needed.
- Prepare the cashier report at the end of a shift.
- Pay out server and service attendant tips if appropriate.
- Properly take reservations for outlets.

Watermark BR is part of Marriott's Autograph Collection and is housed in a historic Art Deco building, originally constructed in 1927 as Baton Rouge's first "skyscraper."
