Waterjet Operator

About the role
Location: Eastford, CT. This role is onsite 5 days/week, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and operation of Jet Edge waterjet machine.
- Set-up and operation of Mazak milling machine.
- Understand capabilities of machine to maximize output.
- Check dimensions of finished parts using standard measuring devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance including equipment checks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Qualifications
- Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication (oral and written) skills.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Knowledge of Jet Edge Waterjet machine a plus.
- Mechanical background.
- Waterjet and CNC Machining knowledge a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
