Waterjet Operator

About the role

Location: Eastford, CT. This role is onsite 5 days/week, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operation of Jet Edge waterjet machine.
• Set-up and operation of Mazak milling machine.
• Understand capabilities of machine to maximize output.
• Check dimensions of finished parts using standard measuring devices.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance including equipment checks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Qualifications

• Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication (oral and written) skills.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions, and customer requirements.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Knowledge of Jet Edge Waterjet machine a plus.
• Mechanical background.
• Waterjet and CNC Machining knowledge a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
