Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure all safety equipment is functional and inspected as necessary
- Train and supervise beach attendants, pool attendants, and waterfront porters
- Ensure staff understand expectations and have proper tools for successful performance
- Perform staff duties including renting cabanas, setting beach umbrellas & chairs, towel service, end of day clean up and reset
- Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, regardless of time of day
- Resolve guest issues promptly
- Control access to the private beach to ensure hotel guest use only
- Maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude towards guests, other employees, and management staff
- Adhere to and practice Chatham Bars Inn Service Standards at all times
Qualifications
- Current certification in CPR & First Aid
- Valid driver's license
- Energetic and personable leadership skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and under pressure
- Superior problem-solving abilities
- Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, climb, twist, and lift up to 60 lbs
- Flexibility with schedule and ability to work weekends and holidays
- Intermediate computer skills required for department involving three operating software programs
