Requirements

  • Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Candidates should have one or two years of experience working with and/or providing for individuals who live at home and have had one of the following: stroke, concussions, brain injury, TBI.
  • Present a letter from a person and/or employer verifying experience.
  • Car, driver’s license and insurance.
  • High-school and/or GED graduate.

Qualifications

  • Support clients with all aspects of home and community life.
  • Ensure consistent safety.
  • Provide a healthy and professional friendship.
  • Manage personal hygiene and dressing.
  • Schedule, attend, and report on medical and therapeutic appointments.
  • Shop, cook, and clean with the client.
  • Organize consistent exercise, socialization, and entertainment.

A.B.I. RESOURCES provides home-based disability support services across Connecticut, supporting clients with a wide range of needs including stroke, concussion, brain injury, and TBI. Our team members ensure consistent safety, provide a healthy and professional friendship, manage personal hygiene and dressing, and assist with scheduling, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and organizing activities.
