Water / Wastewater Treatment Project Manager

About the role

Kleinfelder is seeking a Water / Wastewater Treatment Project Manager or Senior Process Engineer to join our Kleinfelder Water Technologies Area. The role is based near Toledo, McClure, Hilliard, and Defiance, Ohio, with flexibility for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-discipline team for projects including industrial water and drinking water treatment systems, wastewater treatment, water reuse, system integration, permitting, and client-specific projects.
• Expand professional network through collaboration with peers in water practices and develop career on both technical and business development fronts.
• Provide professional engineering services for water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including studies, design, and construction administration.
• Design and construct water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Coordinate multi-discipline engineering efforts, manage subcontractors, and ensure project success.
• Communicate water and wastewater design concepts to clients, participate in project scoping activities, and coordinate with clients to maintain a positive relationship.
• Build and mentor staff in the group, supervise staff and subcontractors, and establish strong, productive internal collaborative relationships with senior management.

Requirements

• A minimum of ten (10) years of design and construction experience of water/wastewater treatment projects.
• B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license with ability to obtain Ohio license within 6 months of start date.
• In-depth knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes and experience coordinating the various engineering disciplines involved in the design of new or upgrade treatment facilities.
• Strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, computer, and technical writing skills.
• Strong team building and communications skills.
• Solid written and verbal fluency in English.
