Water/Wastewater Project Manager
About the role
We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Water/Wastewater Project Manager who will build strategic business partnerships and deliver high-profile projects with key municipal clients in Florida. This position will report out of the Orlando office.
As a Project Manager, you will understand client organizations and processes, develop and maintain consistent relationships at all organizational levels, and work to ensure that Jacobs is the consultant-of-choice for our clients. You'll leverage your people management skills to optimize your team’s performance and consistently deliver high-quality technical solutions for our clients.
In this role, you will play a leadership role in business development activities that result in the award of new contracts, including client relationship development, project-specific positioning, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, oral presentations, and contract negotiations.
Contribute to the development of a Florida Water Market Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients while actively diversifying and expanding our client base.
Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations using project delivery tools and metrics.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships that result in new and repeat consulting work.
- Build strategic business partnerships and deliver high-profile water/wastewater projects for municipal clients.
- Engage in business development activities, including proposal preparation, oral presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Optimize team performance through effective people management and leadership.
- Support the Florida Water Market Strategy to expand and diversify the client base.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or applicable discipline.
- 10 years of progressively responsible Project Management experience with Water/Wastewater Treatment and Conveyance projects and municipal consulting.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Strong understanding of project delivery tools, metrics, and leadership of project delivery teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, and a team-oriented approach.
- Proven ability in interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.
- Track record of developing and maintaining client relationships that secure new and repeat work.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $135,000.00 to $175,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
