Water/Wastewater Project Manager
About the role
Join our Florida Water Business Group as a Water / Wastewater Project Manager. You'll be responsible for scoping, planning, managing, directing and monitoring all aspects of medium to large drinking water and wastewater projects and contracts with high degrees of technical complexity.
Responsibilities
- Serving as the trust client-facing project manager for a variety of technical delivery projects
- Developing project design criteria, schematics and methods
- Preparing preliminary design, basis of design reports, routing and alignment studies, and other engineering reports
- Developing and writing engineering specifications and front-end documents
- Overseeing the production of design drawings
- Developing and executing QA/QC and risk management plans for each project
- Working directly with the owner to ensure that the project exceeds the owner’s expectations
- Serve as a technical expert and mentor to staff
- Support and potentially lead client management activities
- Participate in the overall strategy discussions for successfully marketing with our clients
Requirements
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
- Masters of Engineering in Civil, or Environmental
- Experience in supervising staff
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Preferred local candidates
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum of 2 years project management experience
- The ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
