About the role
A career-minded Water/Wastewater engineer, looking towards advancement, is needed to join JMT’s fast growing Water/Wastewater consultant engineering practice.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engineering tasks and projects in the water/wastewater field through working knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards and processes
- Manage multiple design projects
- Manage preparation and updating of project schedules and cost estimates
- Develop, analyze and document critical design elements
- Cookordination the efforts of a design team to determine requirements and incorporate feedback
- Provide quality engineering evaluation and design services efficiently to support the project team’s objective and provide customer satisfaction on all projects
Requirements
- 4-10 Years’ Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- A working knowledge of Federal, State and local jurisdiction permitting regulations
Qualifications
- A passing grade on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required
- Experience working with local clients
Skills
- Familiarity with hydraulic designs, water and sewer design, analysis of constructability of designs, sewer rehabilitation, engineering economics, preparation of specifications and engineering report writing
- Organized practices, excellent written and verbal communication skills, flexibility to support time-critical design development and production to meet demanding schedules
- Strong computer skills: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, and MS Project
