About the role

A career-minded Water/Wastewater engineer, looking towards advancement, is needed to join JMT’s fast growing Water/Wastewater consultant engineering practice.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead engineering tasks and projects in the water/wastewater field through working knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards and processes
  • Manage multiple design projects
  • Manage preparation and updating of project schedules and cost estimates
  • Develop, analyze and document critical design elements
  • Cookordination the efforts of a design team to determine requirements and incorporate feedback
  • Provide quality engineering evaluation and design services efficiently to support the project team’s objective and provide customer satisfaction on all projects

Requirements

  • 4-10 Years’ Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • A working knowledge of Federal, State and local jurisdiction permitting regulations

Qualifications

  • A passing grade on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required
  • Experience working with local clients

Skills

  • Familiarity with hydraulic designs, water and sewer design, analysis of constructability of designs, sewer rehabilitation, engineering economics, preparation of specifications and engineering report writing
  • Organized practices, excellent written and verbal communication skills, flexibility to support time-critical design development and production to meet demanding schedules
  • Strong computer skills: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, and MS Project

Benefits

  • Compensation is $45-65/hour, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications
