About the role
The Water and Environment team at David Evans and Associates, Inc., specializes in managing complex whole-system resources. We provide comprehensive solutions in natural resources and water/wastewater management, emphasizing meticulous planning, thorough analysis, and sophisticated design.
Responsibilities
Lead planning and design for municipal water and wastewater systems, including conveyance and pumping systems, storage and distribution systems, collection systems, and treatment facilities.
Manage complex design tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Prepare and oversee engineering deliverables such as plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and design standards.
Serve as Engineer of Record or technical lead on projects.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.
Support team development and contribute to a collaborative environment.
Build and maintain relationships with municipal (special purpose district and/or city) clients and regulatory agencies.
Support proposal development, interviews, and pursuit strategies.
Participate in professional organizations and industry engagement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field); PE license required or ability to obtain 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, with a focus on water and wastewater systems.
Strong experience in municipal (city and/or special purpose district) water/wastewater system design.
Proven ability to lead design efforts and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Experience managing or supporting projects through all phases of delivery.
Familiarity with public agency processes, permitting requirements, and regulatory coordination.
Proficiency with standard engineering tools (e.g., hydraulic modelling, drafting/design software, Bluebeam, spreadsheets).
Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff.
Qualifications

$140,000/annually - $200,000/annually
