Water/Wastewater Engineer

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a self-motivated Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with 4–10 years of experience to join our team in Las Cruces, NM or El Paso, TX. The role focuses on water and wastewater projects, including supply, conveyance, treatment, and disposal, and offers opportunities to collaborate across other sectors.

Responsibilities

• Work independently while collaborating with the Wilson & Company team.
• Engage with clients for business development, including attending local industry conferences and seminars.
• Manage and develop client relationships with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Oversee a wide range of water and wastewater projects to meet client schedules and budgets.
• Mentor engineers in training and design staff on project execution and client expectations.
• Apply engineering principles to solve problems and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Produce plans using tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD MEP3D, AutoCAD Plant3D, or Revit.
• Perform hydraulic and environmental calculations and technical report writing.
• Utilize hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, InfoSewer).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 4–10 years of relevant experience.
• Texas Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• Experience with plan production and hydraulic modeling.
• Proven teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Pay

Annual salary range: $101,000 – $150,000, depending on experience.
