Water/Wastewater Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Water team in Pittsburgh. Your expertise will help shape some of the most transformative water infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams on water resources, water treatment, and wastewater projects from planning through construction
• Provide management and technical oversight on projects involving water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, stormwater systems, pipelines, and pump stations
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposal efforts
• Maintain and grow client relationships to support long-term success
• Apply engineering principles to solve complex challenges and deliver high-quality outcomes
• Estimate project costs and support commercial planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering (Master’s preferred)
• At least 7+ years of experience in engineering and/or project management focusing in water/wastewater design
• Proven experience with public or private water and wastewater utilities in the U.S.
• Strong background in planning, design, and delivery of water-related infrastructure
• PE license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain within one year); additional state licenses in Mid-Atlantic and Midwest a plus
• A collaborative leader who can mentor junior staff and manage multidisciplinary teams
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
