Water/Wastewater Engineer

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team in Mobile, Alabama. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to work locally with support from one of the best-qualified municipal consulting firms in the country. The position is flexible with a mix of remote and in-office work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project delivery within the municipal Water/Wastewater market of this region.
• Provide leadership, technical knowledge, and experience to further develop our design team capabilities.
• Manage and lead condition assessment evaluations for water/wastewater system assets.
• Develop and meet scope, delivery schedules, and project budgets for each assignment.
• Work directly with project managers and area managers to determine needs and provide solutions.
• Support the preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations.
• Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineers and design/drafting technical staff.
• Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 7 years of experience in water/wastewater design, including experience leading design projects and managing multi-disciplinary design teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or a related field, required.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Alabama or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of hire, required.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering various engineering projects that meet client expectations.
