Water Truck Driver/Laborer

About the role

Hilltop Quarry, a division of The H&K Group, Inc., is seeking a Water Truck Driver/Laborer to join their team. The driver operates a water truck to transport and dump water for dust suppression and supports other production-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Performs pre and post trip of truck every day and fills out daily inspection sheets
• Drives safely and efficiently to achieve production goals
• Determines dust suppression needs by inspecting roadways regularly
• Performs routine maintenance on truck such as lubrication and cleaning
• Waters roads for dust control
• Performs routine clean-up around the plant
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Qualifications

• Applicable safety certifications from OSHA, MSHA, etc.
• Previous experience in surface mining, construction materials, heavy civil and highway construction

Final determination on pay will be made by company leadership consistent with the scope of work and considering the candidates’ education, experience, skills, past performance, demonstrated leadership, and influence.

Schedule

Regular hours are provided, but flexibility may be necessary to meet production demands.
