Water Senior Project Manager

AE2S is seeking a Water Senior Project Manager in Great Falls, MT. The Water Resources Senior Project Manager is a key member of project delivery and business development, supporting our Minnesota operations in conjunction with other Water Resources staff across all AE2S geographies and our Water Resources Practice Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development activities within Minnesota and lead the local water resources team.
  • Perform various team roles within project delivery (project management, QA/QC, and performing) related to stormwater and water resources engineering to deliver innovative water solutions. Examples include:
    • Urban stormwater management (water quality and flood resiliency) analysis, master planning, and design.
    • FEMA floodplain studies.
    • Water supply reliability planning.
  • Responsible for scope, schedule, budget development, monitoring, and adherence for managed projects to provide exceptional client service and build lasting relationships.
  • Grow market and technical presence within the region by prioritizing client pursuits, building client relationships, providing client management, identifying opportunities, and supporting competitive proposal pursuits.
  • Serve as technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentor for junior engineers within the Water Resources Practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field related to water resources with 15+ years of experience in water resources engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading or participating in watershed master planning, drainage basin design plans, floodplain studies, and water supply planning.
  • Strong understanding of project financials with a proven track record of completing tasks and projects on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Ability to work within multi-discipline projects, multi-task, and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work remotely and collaboratively with clients and project team members.
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (e.g., criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience pursuing and winning water resources projects through the competitive RFP/Q process.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Demonstrated experience using SWMM software for urban stormwater management analysis and HEC-RAS for floodplain analysis.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS software.

Physical Qualifications

  • Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 20 pounds, rarely up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
  • May require wearing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including flame-resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying by workload.
  • May require travel to off-site locations, including occasional overnight stays.
