Primary responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the mitigation crew on water, fire, smoke, and mold remediation projects.
  • Perform and supervise water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and remediation production work.
  • Set up and monitor drying equipment and accurately document moisture readings and daily progress.
  • Manage and complete jobs according to SERVPRO processes per work order, monitoring assigned jobs from start to finish.
  • Respond to service calls, set up and establish efficient job flow, and coordinate the requirements for each job.
  • Communicate clear expectations to production technicians and supervise their activities and quality of work.
  • Explain processes and answer customer questions, establishing relationships with commercial, insurance, and residential customers.
  • Maintain continuous communication with internal parties, including the Job File Coordinator and management.
  • Identify safety hazards, communicate them, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers.
  • Follow and enforce all safety procedures on the job site.
  • Resolve problems quickly as they arise.
  • Manage job file documentation to ensure complete and accurate project details, including photos and required readings.
  • Manage and control the costs of production projects.
  • Manage assets by protecting and properly using equipment and materials.
  • Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas.

Position requirements

  • A high school diploma/GED is required.
  • 1-3 years of water/fire mitigation experience are preferred.
  • IICRC WRT or similar certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of drying equipment and moisture documentation is required.
  • A valid driver's license and strong customer service skills are required.
  • The ability to work in person and travel to job sites as needed is required.
  • Availability for weekend and after-hours on-call rotation is required.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States and successful completion of a background check are required.

Physical demands

  • Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of objects throughout the day.
  • Walking and standing for long periods, as well as driving, sitting, and climbing.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces under buildings and attics).
  • Exposure to chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme conditions such as heat, cold, and noxious odors.
  • Required to occasionally wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform demanding tasks throughout the day.

Job Type

Full-Time, up to 40 hours per week. On-Call

Salary

$20-$26 / hour, pending experience.
