About the role
The Water Resources Practice at David Evans and Associates, Inc., is seeking an experienced Water Resources Project Manager in Bellevue, Everett, Olympia, Seattle, or Tacoma, WA.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with DEA’s other managers in the Water and Environment Business Unit and throughout the company to promote DEA’s business interests in adherence to its mission, vision, and values
- Supervise staff, providing mentorship and administrative support to staff in professional, technical, and business development efforts
- Manage project development and delivery including scoping, budgeting, contract negotiations, and project execution
- Develop and refine the strategy, plan, and direction for the Business Unit (BU)
- Gather and share business intelligence within the BU as well as across regions and other BUs
- Adhere to firm-wide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting, contracting, and quality requirements
- Cultivate external relationships and branding consistent with the overall DEA brand
- Support and initiate business development activity and project pursuits
- Achieve an optimal balance of project-focused and business development activities
- Lead the development of pursuits and proposals as a pursuit champion, when applicable
- Collaborate with people at all levels to implement company initiatives
Requirements
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with emphasis in stream restoration and/or water resource design
- Registered Professional Engineer in Washington State or ability to obtain
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager of water resource engineering projects
- Familiarity with hydrology, hydraulic, and stormwater modeling software (MGSFLood, SMS:SRH-2D, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM, HY-8 etc)
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, etc)
- Experience supervising staff, providing mentorship and administrative support
- Experience developing plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) deliverables for public and private projects
Qualifications
