About the role
You will grow and lead a dynamic Water Resources Practice in Pittsburgh, PA. You will oversee projects and collaborate with clients on various water resources challenges.
Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from concept to final design and permitting
- Apply technical expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, watershed management, FEMA permitting, dam safety, ports and navigable waterways, floodplain studies, and dam breach analyses
- Develop and lead the office’s Water Resources Practice, cultivating client relationships, securing new work, and expanding the practice’s presence
- Align office initiatives with company objectives and leverage firm-wide expertise, tools, and resources to ensure success
- Lead and mentor engineers, identify and hire talented staff, foster technical excellence, and build a collaborative, innovative group
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
- Professional Engineering license (P.E.) required
- 15+ years of experience in water resources engineering, including technical expertise in one or more of the following: hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling, watershed management, FEMA permitting, dam safety, ports and navigable waterways, floodplain studies, and dam breach analyses
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring, developing, and leading staff, with a passion for growing and leading teams
- Proven track record of business development, client relationship management, and practice growth
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire trust and credibility
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (local, state, and federal), including FEMA and USACE requirements

- Required experience in proposal preparation, project planning, execution, and financial management
- Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders

- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (local, state, and federal), including FEMA and USACE requirements

Pay
Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually
