Water Resources Intern

About the role

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Intern to join our Renewables team. The qualified individual will support permitting, design, and construction of Solar, Wind, and Battery Storage projects across the country. This position will coordinate with other Civil and Water Resources Engineers to ensure projects are protected from flooding and meet storm‑water regulations. Ideal for students working towards a civil engineering degree (or related field). Responsibilities

• Support permitting, design, and construction of Solar, Wind, and Battery Storage projects across the country.
• Coordinate with other Civil and Water Resources Engineers to ensure projects are protected from flooding and meet storm‑water regulations.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and prepare detailed reports.
• Engage in stormwater modeling, floodplain analysis, and hydraulic design, contributing to projects that have a lasting positive impact on communities.
• Work alongside various teams within Westwood to produce quality designs for solar, wind, and battery storage projects across the country.
• Gain hands‑on experience with industry‑leading software, including FLO2D, AutoCAD, Global Mapper, HEC‑RAS, and ArcPro.
