About the role

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Water Resource Engineer/Task Leader to join our Transportation Business Line. This role is preferably based out of our Conshohocken or Philadelphia, PA office with other possible locations in Mechanicsburg PA or Newark DE.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, prepare or review detailed design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, permit applications, construction drawings and specifications.
  • Advise project teams on technical issues, perform deliverable quality reviews, assist with annual performance evaluations, support the professional development of junior engineers, assist with reporting project status and responsible to deliver elements of design within the project schedule and budget.
  • Cook interdisciplinary design elements with other task leaders and/or group managers.
  • Utilize modeling software applications for efficient design and coordination.
  • Enhance client relationships as it pertains to our water resource capabilities.
  • May assist with staffing and business development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering plus six (6) years of relevant water resource engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with water resources design software (Microstation In-Roads, Microstation Open-Roads, StormCAD, HydroCAD, Pondpack, HEC-RAS).

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering plus six (6) years of relevant water resource engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience with water resources design software (Microstation In-Roads, Microstation Open-Roads, StormCAD, HydroCAD, Pondpack, HEC-RAS).
  • Preferred Qualifications: 8 years of relevant water resource engineering experience. Experience with PennDOT, as well as the PA Turnpike, PADEP, DelDOT and other agencies is highly desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $73 to $80 per hour.
