Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering and water resources projects.
  • Prepare technical calculations and engineering analyses.
  • Utilize industry-standard CAD software to create and modify project plans and models.
  • Prepare permit applications and coordinate project submittals with regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, technicians, architects, and clients throughout project development.
  • Review and interpret engineering codes, standards, regulations, and project requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and construction drawings.
  • Support construction activities by addressing design-related issues and providing technical guidance.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in water resources engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with CAD design software and civil engineering design tools.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and water resources systems.
  • Experience preparing permits and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with stormwater management, drainage design, and water resources permitting.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting projects through design, permitting, and construction phases.
