About the role

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Water Resource Engineer/Discipline Lead to join our Transportation Business Line preferably based out of our Newark, Delaware office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, prepare or review detailed design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, permit applications, construction drawings and specifications.
  • Advise project teams on technical issues, perform deliverable quality reviews, assist with annual performance evaluations, support the professional development of junior engineers, assist with reporting project status and responsible to deliver elements of design within the project schedule and budget.
  • Cook interdisciplinary design elements with other task leaders and/or group managers.
  • Utilize modeling software applications for efficient design and coordination.
  • Enhance client relationships as it pertains to our water resource capabilities.
  • May assist with staffing and business development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering plus ten (10) years of relevant water resource engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with water resources design software (Microstation In-Roads, Microstation Open-Roads, StormCAD, HydroCAD, Pondpack, HEC-RAS).

Qualifications

  • Experience with PennDOT, as well as the PA Turnpike, PADEP, DelDOT and other agencies is highly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.

USD 150000 - USD 175000 - yearly
