Join WWC Engineering in Laramie, WY as a full time Water Resources Engineer and play a critical role in shaping the future of our communities water resources. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, biologists, ecologists, other natural resource professionals, and clients to plan and implement projects.
- Support teams in performing topographic/geomorphic/bathymetric surveying and field data collection.
- Conduct field assessments of streams and wetlands.
- Develop stream restoration designs and technical specifications.
- Develop fishery enhancement designs including fish passage, screening, and barriers.
- Draft reports and technical memorandums.
- Produce design calculations and clearly document design decisions in technical reports.
- Produce design plans, specifications, and engineering cost estimates.
- Conduct floodplain delineation studies in accordance with FEMA and local floodplain guidelines and regulations.
- Perform channel stability analyses, hydraulic modeling (1D and 2D), sediment transport modeling.
- Complete design tasks in AutoCAD Civil 3D involving basemap development, proposed surface grading, construction plan sheet layouts, and construction specifications.
- Develop and support construction cost estimates and oversight for restoration projects.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university program.
- At least 4 years of experience in water resources engineering field such as stream and wetland restoration, pond design, bioengineered bank stabilization, hydraulic modeling, floodplain mapping, fluvial geomorphology, and fish passage, screening, and barrier design.
- Pursuing professional licensure.

Pay
A competitive annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional flexibility required to meet project deadlines.
