About the role

We are seeking a Water Infrastructure Program Manager (PgmM) to join our Water Business Group. This role will focus on developing, coordinating, and delivering water infrastructure consulting, design projects, and tasks for data center clients. The ideal candidate will have experience managing teams through various stages of data center projects, from due-diligence evaluation to construction administration and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and deliver water infrastructure projects for data center clients.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with HDR teams on tasks including environmental, permitting, industrial water/wastewater treatment, building architecture, and other HDR disciplines.
  • Work with vendors and subconsultants as needed.
  • Manage project teams during the design, consulting, planning, and detailed design support phases of data center projects.
  • Support water sustainability initiatives aligned with client goals.
  • Collaborate with HDR practices and professional discipline groups to implement effective quality assurance and quality control procedures.
  • Balance fast-paced, variable environments with client needs.
  • Oversee the execution of consulting, planning, and design scopes, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in and oversee business development activities, including proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities, manage client relationships, and provide mentorship to staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Civil, or a related engineering field.
  • Experience in developing and managing client relationships and specific program/project pursuits.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively with multiple HDR positions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and an active participation in our employee-owned culture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works well in a team and matrix environment.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Platforms.
  • Project management experience with winning and delivering projects in the Data Center and other industrial sectors.
  • Experience designing industrial water and wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace platforms (formerly G Suite or Google Apps).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • PMP certification.
  • 5+ years specifically serving the Data Center industry.
