About the role
Full-time position based anywhere in Bangladesh, focused on water meter reading, user management, and billing operations within the utility sector.
Responsibilities
- Seal the signature of new users, register the bottom degree of water meter and water use type based on pipe network department data
- Timely and accurately copy water meter consumption data within the jurisdiction according to specified line and schedule
- Monitor customer water usage patterns and maintain updated user information
- Report abnormal conditions related to measuring instruments, data, or water use type to the Water Readings Incharge for resolution
- Assist the Water Readings Incharge in negotiating and replenishing water for users with damaged, buried, or otherwise unmeasurable meters
- Report information on relocated users per company policy; complete pre-storage of water charges, meter removal, charge recovery, and account cancellation
- Conduct periodic inspections of key customers using over 50 tons/month and analyze consumption changes
- Handle water consumption disputes and complaints from users
- Ensure full recovery of user water charges to maintain collection targets
- Complete other tasks assigned by leadership
Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant experience
- Background in water supply, utility industry, smart metering, utility billing, water management, utility management, water and wastewater design, water conservation, or water engineering
- Proficiency in administrative tasks related to meter reading and billing operations
