Water Meter Installer

Responsibilities

• Replace and test existing water meters
• Install a new water meter at residential or commercial sites
• Accurately measure consumption
• Ensure transmittal of signals to the network

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to walk up to 10-15 miles per day, outdoors in all-weather environments
• Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. of force unassisted

Pay

• Paid per meter installation
• Expected earnings up to $22-32/hour or more!

Schedule

• M-F 7:30am-4:00pm

Working Conditions And Hours

• Outdoor work environment including rain, snow, extreme cold, or high heat
• Driving to and from work sites may be exposed to road related hazards
• Exposed to unknown hazards at resident sites such as dogs
• Little supervision to give you freedom to work independently and manage your own day

Knowledge And Abilities

• Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests (Meterpro)
• Learn and apply safety measures relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
• Key data into handheld device
• Basic computer skills helpful
• Attention to detail and accuracy to record meter data
• Find locations/address by reading a map and handheld device and/or laptop
• Use hand tools
