What You'll Do
- Practice Leadership & Growth
- Lead the development and expansion of Civil Science's water infrastructure practice.
- Create and execute growth strategies for water transmission, distribution, storage, source development, treatment, and utility infrastructure services.
- Build and strengthen relationships with municipal agencies, utility districts, irrigation entities, and other public-sector clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, proposals, and strategic partnerships.
- Support revenue growth and establish a sustainable project backlog.
Technical Leadership
- Serve as the firm's technical authority for water infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert guidance on water transmission pipelines, distribution systems, storage facilities, source development, hydraulic modeling, and system planning.
- Deliver innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Ensure quality, risk management, and technical excellence across all projects.
Project Delivery & Client Service
- Lead planning, design, and execution of complex municipal water infrastructure projects.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Support multidisciplinary project teams across offices and disciplines.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders.
Team Development
- Lead the firm's Water Expertise Group and foster collaboration across offices.
- Mentor engineers, project managers, and technical specialists.
- Develop training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Help recruit, retain, and develop top water infrastructure talent.
Projects You'll Support
- Water transmission pipeline systems

- Water source development projects (wells, springs, and source facilities)
- Hydraulic modeling and master planning
- Capital improvement programs
- Utility relocations associated with transportation projects
- Emerging water treatment opportunities
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in water infrastructure engineering and project management.
- Demonstrated success leading municipal water infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
- Strong client relationship management and business development experience.
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and build technical capabilities.
- Experience with:
- Water transmission and distribution systems
- Water storage facilities
- Water source development
- Hydraulic modeling and system master planning
- Utility coordination and underground infrastructure
- Project and financial management
- Preferred Qualifications
- Water treatment experience.
- Water rights experience.
- Sewer collection and treatment systems experience.
- Stormwater and drainage experience.
- Regional utility planning experience.
- Funding and grant program knowledge.
- Experience with SCADA and control systems.
