General Description
Water Fitness Instructors are a key part of our aquatics team, bringing low impact exercise to our community. Instructors will plan their workout routines, select music for each class, manage attendance, and be responsible for the safety of the participants (with the support of a lifeguard).

Requirements
- Enthusiastic, passionate about fitness
- Prior experience instructing adult fitness
- Basic knowledge of anatomy & physiology
- Knowledge of healthy lifestyle principles and exercise
- Ability to communicate and work well with the public
- Energy, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness
- Understanding of buoyancy and effective water resistance methods
Qualifications
- At least 17 years of age, preferably 18+
- American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certification preferred
- Experience in water related fitness instruction, fitness instruction, or something equitable
- Ability to perform & instruct aquatic fitness classes
Skills

Pay
$18 to $20 per hour. Estimated 2-2.5 hours per evening.
Schedule
Classes scheduled in sessions of 6-7 weeks. Instructors typically teach both classes on a weeknight for the duration of a session.
