Responsibilities

  • Receive and direct teams in the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Review and document daily project requirements, progress, and challenges.
  • Create and maintain photographic, charted, and sketched documentation for various Third Party Administrators (TPA) projects.
  • Perform daily inspections of vehicles for safety and cleanliness.
  • Ensure attention to detail and compliance with BELFOR standards.
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific deadlines.
  • Periodically travel and work nights and weekends.
  • Report time worked and equipment/consumables used accurately and promptly.
  • Attend BELFOR-sponsored operations and security training courses.

Requirements

  • Supervise and perform Water Damage Basic tasks.
  • Gather and upload pictures to job files.
  • Maintain equipment for debris removal, containment/drying chambers, wall cavity drying, pump system, and carpet seam cutting/cushion removal/baseboard removal.
  • Identify Class 4 material, measure moisture, and apply the most effective drying/restoration techniques.
  • Evaluate structural and contents integrity for water damage and assess restoration/replacement costs.
  • Create moisture maps using provided tools and knowledge.
  • Supervise small crews on tasks such as debris removal, containment/drying chambers, wall cavity drying, pump system, and carpet seam cutting/cushion removal/baseboard removal.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard and IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
  • Current IICRC WRT designation.
  • Familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book.
  • Proper use of appropriate meters and infrared (IR) camera, understanding of affected vs unaffected building materials and contents.
  • Ability to draw sketches, read floor plans, complete moisture content logs, pychrometric logs, and determine drying goals.
  • Mastery in air mover calculations, LGR dehumidification charts, electrical power specs, and electrical circuits.
  • Experience with HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro Moisture Meter, or equivalent, and recording of data.
  • Experience operating truck mount extraction systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supervising small crews (up to 10 people) on residential/commercial and industrial losses.
  • Eligibility to operate a motor vehicle according to BELFOR's vehicle policy.
  • Strong sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
  • Fluency in English.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting up to 41 lbs, assisted (up to 50% of the time).
  • Access and mobility in tight spaces.
  • Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling.
