Wastewater Treatment Operator - Industrial
About the role
Woodard & Curran is seeking a talented individual to support the wastewater treatment needs for a food and beverage client located in Robinson, Illinois. This unique role offers the opportunity to work in Industrial Wastewater Treatment, allowing for growth and development of your skill set in the field.
Responsibilities
- Monitor wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary to control their operation.
- Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis in a laboratory environment to determine compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties.
- Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintain all necessary records.
- General housekeeping/maintenance to keep plant organized and running efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in wastewater treatment operations preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Pay
$25 - $27 an hour, with pay range varying based on certification and level of experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position involves rotating shifts, allowing you the chance to maximize your time off when planned in advance. Shifts may include first shift, second shift, and weekends or legal holidays with the opportunity for overtime pay.
