Wastewater Sales Manager
Headquartered in Old Saybrook, CT, Infiltrator Water Technologies is the leading provider of engineered plastic chambers, synthetic aggregates, tanks, advanced wastewater treatment systems, and accessories for the onsite/decentralized wastewater and storm water management industries. About the Role

(a subsidiary of Infiltrator Water Technologies) manufactures innovative onsite and decentralized wastewater collection and treatment technologies, including community collection systems, advanced secondary treatment systems, watertight fiberglass tanks, in-tank pumping and filtration systems, controls, and fiberglass buildings, tanks, and enclosures.
Responsibilities
- Grow decentralized (large/commercial) system sales of advanced treatment systems by at least 50% per year for the first three years in the defined region (growth rate to be determined after three years).
- Build long-term relationships with decision makers (civil/environmental consulting engineers, onsite wastewater engineers/designers, regulatory agencies, contractors, and developers) within a defined region to gain product specifications through face-to-face meetings, lunch and learns, industry events, and active participation in industry organizations.
- Track projects and relationship building through the existing customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Meet with consulting engineers or design influencers via face-to-face and web meetings or presentations.
- Conduct formal presentations (lunch and learns, chapter meetings, or other industry events).
- Provide occasional regulatory and technical support related to single-family advanced treatment systems sold by Infiltrator.
Requirements
- Strong skill in presenting technical product information in individual, small group, and large group settings.
- Strong customer/client focus and demonstrated ability to identify and close (gain commitment for) large project specifications and purchases.
- Problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to comprehend wastewater treatment/dispersal concepts and methods.
- Self-starting, results-oriented, and adaptable.
- B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to travel within the sales territory (Mid-West Region) and maintain responsive communication with internal contacts and external customers. Overnight travel requirement varies between 1 and 3 nights per week.
- Comfortable and highly productive in a home office setting and while traveling.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Satisfactory driving record, valid driver’s license, and current insurance on personal vehicle if used for business. Must meet company insurability requirements.
Qualifications
A BS (Bachelor of Science) degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred. PE (Professional Engineer) license is a plus. Other combinations of degrees and experience will be considered.
